To help protect yourself:

• Do not send application fees, security deposits, or other payments through Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, gift cards, wire transfers, or other payment methods unless specifically directed through Gold Star Property Management's verified process.
• Do not rely solely on information provided through Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, social media, or other third-party rental listings.
• Be cautious of anyone pressuring you to send money immediately to "hold" a property or secure a showing.
• Verify the property, rental terms, and payment instructions directly with our office before sending funds.
• If something seems suspicious, contact Gold Star Property Management directly before taking any further action.

When in doubt, verify with us first.

Unfortunately, scammers may use legitimate company names, property photos, addresses, logos, and other publicly available information to make fraudulent listings appear authentic.

Gold Star Property Management will never be offended by you taking an extra step to verify that a rental listing, application, or payment request is legitimate.
